Raindrop Technique
Comprised of the Lakota practice of effleurage, coupled with therapeutic grade essential oils and vita flex, the Raindrop Technique was developed by Gary Young, N.D., founder of Young Living Essential Oils. These techniques were taught to him by a Lakota medicine man, Wallace Black Elk. In the Lakota Native American healing practices, healers sweep a feather upwards along the spine imitating the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis, which are revered for their healing effects. Eventually, the Lakota began to use effleurage, a feather finger stroking which became associated with this healing technique.
The Raindrop Technique has received praise for its help with relaxation, emotional release, tissue cleansing and assistance with ailments. It is the profound natural “intelligence” of the antibacterial, antiviral essential oils which facilitate healing by enhancing the systems of the body, detoxifying and balancing the body. Clinical research has shown that the bio-frequencies of the essential oils can raise the frequencies of the human body, assisting in health and healing.
During a Raindrop Technique session the session begins by the client lying on their back on a massage table. We start at the shoulders with oil then we go to the feet where vita-flex, “vitality through the reflexes,” a technique that is based on a complete network of reflex points that connect and stimulate every internal system of the body, is given with essential oils. After this is completed, the patient then lies on their stomach on a massage table. The oils are dropped onto the body from approximately six inches above the spine, moved along the vertebrae and back muscles with skillful touch and varying motions. nine essential oils, seven single oils and two therapeutic blends are applied. Once the oils are applied, the vita-flex technique enhances the benefits of the essential oils that are utilized. Vita-flex is used both on the feet and along the spine. Next, a hot compress consisting of a warm towel is placed along the spine, further enhancing the effectiveness of the essential oils. Session duration is one hour.

Essential Oils and Electrical Frequencies
The life force in food as well as in all living creatures can be measured by electrical frequencies. Therapeutic-grade essential oils hold great healing potential because they carry the highest electrical frequencies and will raise the frequencies of whatever they come in contact with.
There are three grades of essential oils: food grade, perfume grade and therapeutic grade.
Muscle testing is utilized to determine the best therapeutic grade essential oils to promote healing and maintain health based on your individual needs at any particular moment.
Please note:
For individuals with sensitive skin or allergies, the oils may cause some reddening or excessive warming of the skin.
Not recommended for pregnant or nursing women.
Cupping
The philosophy behind cupping is related to pain and discomfort. It is stated that “Where there is stagnation, there will be pain. Remove the stagnation and you will remove the pain.”
Pain results from the congestion, stagnation and blockage of Qi, or vital energy, vital fluids, lymph, phlegm and blood. If pain is the essence of disease, then suffering is a result of obstructed or irregular flow in the body. Cupping is therefore a method of breaking up the blockage to restore the body’s natural flow of energy, which also results in a detoxifying effect on the skin and the circulatory system. By removing toxins there is an increased blood flow through the arteries and veins.
Cupping is used for many ailments, most commonly to relieve back and neck pains, stiff muscles, anxiety and fatigue. It is also valuable for the lungs.
Cups, typically glass or silicone, are applied to your skin to create a pressure that sucks your skin inward.
Stationary and sliding cupping are utilized. Oil is used with sliding cupping.
Side effects of cupping are some mild discomfort when cupping and bruising, but skin should return to looking normal within 10 days. Rare side effects are burns and infections.
